Liz Deely has called Collierville home for more than 31 years. She is an experienced business leader, community volunteer, educator, mother, and grandmother who believes in the power of hard work and service. 

 

Raised in a blended family of eight children, Liz was the first in her family to graduate from college. She earned her bachelor’s degree from General Motors Institute, now Kettering University, and later an MBA in Finance at the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to build a successful career with General Motors, DuPont, Merrill Lynch, and CPS Color. 

 

Liz moved to Collierville in 1995 with her late husband, Michael,  a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, and chose to make it their home. After stepping away from her corporate career to raise her children, she became an educator, serving as a substitute teacher and adjunct instructor in business at Southwest Community College and through dual enrollment at Kirby High School.
